Initially the Talent & HR Coordinator was very responsive, quick to reply, give feedback on the interviewing process.
The first round was a one hour teams meet with the hiring manager (Senior Global Brand Manager.)
Following this I was invited to a second round interview with both the hiring manager and the MD/Global Head Of Brands. This second interview involved a task, where I had to present a 10 slide max presentation, focusing on the strategy of the brand. It needed to cover current brand positioning and values, the market needs, strategic opportunities, and ideas for new product development.
This second interview was to be in person at the head office in Watford. The HR coordinator was very helping in setting up the interview and calling ahead of time to give directions and make sure I wasn't lost.
I took an afternoon of annual leave to attend the interview in person, but when I arrived only the hiring manager was there in person, and the MD was working from home. It was difficult to present both in person and virtually at the same time. And if a candidate has made the effort to take leave to meet in person, it would be nice if the interviewers were also in the room. This could have easily been done on teams.
During the interview the MD asked very invasive questions quite intently, wanting exact numbers and turnover from my current business (potentially a competitor), and names of agencies my current company uses.
Following this it was radio silence. Despite following up several times they didn't even have the courtesy to let me know I hadn't got the job or progressed to a third round, or to give me any feedback on the presentation I spent hours working on.
