Absolutely disgusting behaviour and blatant ineptitude from management. I was clearly informed that the interview would take place via Zoom. However, when I attempted to join the interview 15 minutes early, I found that the meeting code was invalid on Zoom. It was only then when I found out the interview would actually be taking place on a completely different platform that I had not prepared for, thus resulting in me unable to fully prepare my audio as I was forced to use the browser version due to time constraints. Understandably, this led to technical difficulties on my end that did not allow us to continue with the interview. This person then said they would call me instead, which NEVER happened and ended up leaving me waiting to receive a call that never came through for half an hour. I was happy to accept the situation and leave it at that (despite the unprofessionalism 100% on the hiring team), until I then received an incredibly condescending and snarky email from them regarding my "ability to prepare technology accordingly." Instead of owning up to their mistake, I was instead left with a very bad taste in my mouth regarding the management of this company and their respect for their employees. Thankfully, it seems it was a blessing in disguise that I was not able to proceed with the interview.
