      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 dia. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa SLACK Incorporated.

      Entrevista

I applied online and someone from HR called and asked me to send in writing samples. A day or so later, she called and we scheduled an in-person interview. I talked with two people during my in-person interview. The first interview was with a woman from HR. She went through info about the company extremely rapid fire. She mentioned things like dress code, time off, etc. but it all went by extremely fast. It was nice to get some idea of it, but it wasn't terribly in depth simply because of how fast that portion went by. She had standard HR questions -- how I dealt with disagreements with my boss, what kind of challenges I was looking for, what I knew about the company, etc. After speaking with her for a bit, she surprised me with a proofreading test, which I had thirty minutes to complete. The second interview was with an editor from the publication I was interviewing for. I thought this was much better than the HR interview. I was able to learn more about the position, what was expected in the position, etc. I thought we had a good back and forth. This was a much more comfortable interview and felt much more relevant to the job and understanding the scope of the position. She mentioned that if I was called in for a second interview, it would include a writing test. All in all, it was an alright process. If the interview had ended with the HR portion, I probably would have withdrew my candidacy. It was extremely stuffy and corporate, and didn't give much in the way of knowing what the job was about. I never heard anything back, so I think it's safe to assume they went with someone else, haha
