Part 1: A written assessment consisting of two sections to be completed in 1 hr. Section A are technical questions for engineering students only. They ask things about MRT systems, railway engineering and quality assurance stuff although the questions are said to be different by now. Section B is writing an policy essay of one page to how you would tackle SMRT issues such as the train breakdown. They will give articles for u to supplement your knowledge.
Part 2: Group discussion with 4-5 other candidates in front of assessors. This part requires you as a team to decide on how to allocate a given sum of money (e.g. $10000) to fix SMRT reliability or safety issue. You're given various plans that cost a sum of money (e.g. $3000-4000 ) to solve the issue. Basically this part is to test your ability to lead and work in a group and it's quite hectic as everyone would be fighting for the opportunity to talk.
