      Entrevista

RED FLAG WARNING! Beware of this company and the recruiting agency they use. Bait and Switch artists. I worked with a recruiting agency to get a first interview and the interview basically derailed from the start of the conversation because I was given 100% wrong information about the job from the recruiting agency. I spent the whole weekend learning everything I could about the company, their history, the industry, the cooperative they belong to, everything the company sells and does. I was more than prepared and excited to get to talk with SPEC about the job opportunity. Well, the VP doesn't call on the day the recruiting agency said he would. I tried reaching out to the VP to schedule a specific time and he didn't respond. Just called me the next day out of the blue at 8:20 in the morning catching me off guard. The VP I spoke with immediately said that I had the wrong job description, then he seemed frustrated that I wasn't prepared, and proceeded to rattle off a bunch of details I didn't know about and tell me I would be on the road 75% of the time covering 14 states for at least the next three years. The recruiting agency told me I'd cover 2 metro areas, Dallas and Kansas City. 60% travel but half of that travel was all local to where I lived, so I'd be home a lot more. I told the VP I needed to discuss the travel schedule with my wife before I could make a decision on moving forward, and he told me that was fine and to call him back. Barely two minutes later the recruiting agency contacted me and told me the company was going another direction. Then when I tried to inquire if SPEC was hiring for multiple roles and somehow there was a simple mix up and if I just interviewed for the wrong role. I was met with silence, essentially the recruiting agency ghosted me, the main recruiter didn't respond and then removed me as a connection on LinkedIn. In the beginning I actually thought I finally found a recruiting agency that cared and was super responsive. At the end of the day they were worse than most other agencies, and this was all just a big waste of my time. In the end I am sure it's for the best. Just wish the recruiting agency had the decency to tell me where the mixup came from. At least I know now to avoid this company and their recruiting agency going forward. Honestly, I actually hope they find the person they need for this role. If I was younger, single, and didn't have a family I would have jumped at this opportunity. It's just too bad none of this information was shared up front. I don't go around wasting other people's time, and I sure don't like having mine wasted. This whole experience was a perfect example of having zero respect or value for other people's time. My advice to both the company and the recruiting agency. Do better, and don't run from your mistakes, own them. It's called best practices for a reason.

      Perguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pergunta 1

The only question the VP asked me is if I understood what the role was.
