Long recruiting process. First interview was via phone, reasonably easy and quite pleasant. Received some surface-level technical documentation after the interview which was an interesting read, then I was asked to fill out a Word document outlining my key competencies (which made me question whether the recruiter actually read my CV). Was told that legalities had to be sorted out and the process may take a while. Then, nothing. For one year. I had already reoriented myself towards another position when one day, I got an e-mail from the same recruiter, asking if I were still interested in that position. Sure, why not amuse myself for another eternity... I said yes and there has been radio silence ever since. Immense waste of my time, I've chosen another employer in the meantime.
