They basically sit you down, and want get to you know and how you are as an EMT. Do you care about patients? Are you competent, etc? They want to ensure you have all the proper certifications, and have some sense of field experience. They don't seem to want someone completely fresh out of EMT school, who has never talked to a patient on their own before.
