I’ve experienced this kind of ghosting a few times. The first two interviews went well—at least from my perspective. However, I didn’t receive a response for an entire month. I contacted HR via email, and only then did I finally receive feedback stating that the company was undergoing internal changes. They told me they would get back to me, but now I’ve been waiting for another month 🙂.
What frustrates me the most is that I’m very selective when it comes to applying for jobs. I carefully read job descriptions, research the company thoroughly, install and test their apps, and explore their products or website to understand them better.
I believe HR professionals should acknowledge that kind of effort and stop ghosting—out of basic respect for a candidate’s time and energy.
