Started off great, but ended on a strange note. The first two rounds of the interview process were smooth. The initial phone interview with HR and the second-round interview with the hiring manager were both straightforward. Aside from introducing myself, I was asked basic but relevant questions about my past work experience and projects. The final round, however, was quite unusual. It was scheduled very soon after the second round, which was a bit surprising but worked with my schedule. During this interview, the interviewer introduced themselves but did not ask any questions. Instead, there were long pauses, and it became clear they were unsure how to proceed. In an effort to keep the conversation going, I asked some of the questions I had prepared, but the responses were short and not very engaging. Ultimately, it felt like a wasted opportunity and was probably the most awkward interview experience I’ve had.
