Applied through linkedin, Owner asked for some of my personal work examples via email. I sent a few designs for review and we scheduled a call. She called on time. She said during our call that my designs don't "work for her" because they were too Bridgeton (these were only examples of pervious work for other companies, AKA a portfolio) I offered to show examples of things that would better suit her taste that I have done in the past. Instead she asked me to send/draw her more designs that better "worked" for her company along with fresh trend ideas so she could better get a sense of if I "understand her style". As a freelancer this kind of request is something that clients pay for, not something you send over for free. Nothing else was discussed. No pay or rate, benefits, not even work location was this remote or not? She didn't bother asking either. Overall the conversation was 10-15min. I get the sense that this is a fishing tactic to get free/new designs and ideas from applicants with no intension to hire. I did not proceed with the offer. Strangely enough the job posting was taken down a day later.
