Was contacted after an online application. Set up a phone interview for a Friday. Me and the interviewer are in different time zones, so I double-checked the correct time with them twice before agreeing to the interview.
The morning of the interview, the interviewer calls me saying they have to push the interview back by 30 minutes. Fine, that happens. I re-confirm the correct time again and go on about my day.
They call me nearly an hour earlier than they scheduled with me, and when I answered they actually said “Sorry I’m late on this call.” Something was not scheduled correctly on their end, and they called me in the middle of an important time, but I had no choice but to go along with the interview unprepared and in public.
The interview was fine but weird. The interviewer sounded like they were straight up reading questions off a clipboard, which is always off-putting. At the end, they said that they felt it went great, and that the next step would be for their higher up to contact me either that same day or on Monday or Tuesday of the next week.
Since then, I have been completely ghosted by the company - both the interviewer and the other person who was supposed to contact me. It’s been a week and a half with no word. I even tried contacting the interviewer through LinkedIn, but have so far been ignored.
I feel like my time has been disrespected and that I’ve been lied to.
