The initial interview process was smooth and detailed out by my initial recruiter. I had a 30 minute phone call with this initial recruiter who told me before the end of the call that she would be moving me forward. I had a a great second interview with a hiring manager who told me he had no hesitations about me in the role and moving me to the third round. The third round consisted of 3 back to back 30 minute interviews with 2 other managers and 1 director. All three went well and each said they had zero hesitations with me moving into to AE role. The last manager even said it was a yes for him and the next step would be an offer. I was told I should hear something in the next 2 days. 3 days later I received a generic “we will not be moving forward with you in the process, but keep an eye on our careers page” email from a recruiter I had never spoken with. I reached out to him for feedback, and after following up for feedback again 3 days later, I finally received a response from this recruiter that just said “unfortunately, don’t give specific feedback.” After 5 interviews and close to 3 hours of my time dedicated to interviewing for this company, not including preparation, it’s very disappointing to receive a generic email without any further insight. After receiving nothing but positive feedback throughout the entire process, it would have been beneficial to receive some sort of clarity on why they chose not to continue with me so I can learn from this for future opportunities. Highly disappointed in Samsara if this is how they handle their interviewing process.

I first spoke with a recruiter for the screening process, which took about 25 minutes. She was late, but was very nice and provided tips on what they're looking for. She sent a lot of follow up information to prep for the next interview round. I then met with the hiring manager who did a deeper dive into numbers and expectations.
5 rounds in total, 1 with HR, 1 with a Sales Manager, then 3 in 1 day: Manager, Director and another Director. Very low acceptance rate. Must demonstrate growth mindset, specific deal metrics, and a natural drive.
