Phone interview was very informal to confirm interest. On the phone wage was discussed but also mentioned the ability for additional compensation in some instances due to the role being commission based. I went in for an in person interview to discuss options and hear more about position. This is an hourly position with the potential for uncapped commission. The lowest estimated annual take home would be about 50+ but they only pay minimum wage. A contract takes about 3 months to be paid on so you will have to wait 3mo till you get commission to make money. I’m assuming when you leave you won’t be paid for three months after to receive your commission. For a company who feels their employees would make about 50-100k and ask you to be okay with making minimum wage for three months is basically asking you to take a chance on them. Not they are taking a chance on you or value you. I understand companies get burned but don’t look for people with experience if you are only going to pay them as if they have none.
