The entire process from submitting my application all the way to the end when I finally received an email stating that I did not get the job took over 3-4 months. In the beginning, I was quite surprised that I was emailed an invitation for an interview right away at SDHC. Keep in mind, I did not know what to expect upon arriving. When I arrived, the receptionist in that department did not look happy. What a great first impression, right? My interview was with conducted by 2 managers and another employee. It was structured and they all took notes after every question they read on paper. When it was over, I was stuck in the elevator with an employee of SDHC who openly complained aloud that SDHC couldn't afford to even fix their elevators causing the employee to be frustrated as she walked out. Overall impression? 9/80 schedule is great but an (8-6) schedule can be exhausting by that extra hour. BTW, the position was for Section 8. No thanks.
