I got a phone call about 6 months after I applied to the internship. The mentor what the first person I talked to. about two weeks later I got called by the manager of the department and had another 30 min chat with him. about a week later I had another sudo interview phone call and got offered a job over the phone at the end of the call.

I had two rounds of interviews over the phone.
Both were very engaging, asking a range of questions from what I was hoping to get out of the experience and how I tackled difficult situations to technical questions about my research.
Everyone I spoke with was kind easy to talk to.
