Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 dia. Fui entrevistado pela Sandstone Technology em nov. de 2009

      Entrevista

I responded to an online advertisement by first ringing the employer and they immediately called me in for an interview in Melbourne as they were starting up a new office and were keen to talk to me. I placed a courtesy call on the morning of the interview to let them know I was on schedule. When I arrived I called and sent a text message indicating that I was early and waiting downstairs. To my amazement the person who was to interview me told me to ring another number and then that person seemed lost as to what to do. He was a technical team member and was totally lost as to how to conduct an interview. He asked me a few technical questions , nothing too hard, just difference between == and .equals, and why would someone use Synchronise() and a few modeling questions and was generally happy with the responses. 10 days went by and I heard nothing... puzzled by this given the good indication of the first interview I rang up and asked as to the status of my application. I was told that they had lost the application and that the person whom I first contacted had left the company. I then got in touch with the new person and forwarded my application to her. She mentioned she would case it up. When I was next contacted, it was not by phone ,but by an email saying that I was not successful. I was dismayed by the lack of responsiveness and rudeness of passing my interview to someone who was clearly taken by surprise and I had no contact with the HR area that I first spoke to. No appology for them being unavailable, no continuity of interview process, Not even a simple contact, despite my thank you letter. This company has a receptionist who actively stops contact for roles...or at least this one.. There was no indication of a preferred candidate. After pressing the matter I was told that the company wanted more experience in Java, which is fine, but the manner in which I was parmed off and not given the courtesy of a company introduction via an HR representative does not bode well for this company. This company appears to have no understanding of common courtesy in interviewing, You ought to at least turn up or offer your apology for being unable to meet your agreement. with interviewees
