Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Santa Monica Public Library.
Entrevista
Sent in application on the one day they were accepting Page applications. Then had to take an exam that was based on how to sort books / use technology. After scoring well on the exam, was invited to interview. Received offer via phone.

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou pelo menos um ano. Fui entrevistado pela Santa Monica Public Library (Santa Monica, CA) em out. de 2018
Entrevista
I applied for the Library Assistant II position in January 2017. They gave those who were interested in applying one day with limited hours to apply. Some people work, and allowing only business hours or one day to apply is ridiculous.
The process involved three stages. First, the application and then if you met the qualifications, you were invited to take a written test (step two). I had to take a written test in Santa Monica and pay for parking. I received a high enough score on the written test that I was then allowed to take the second stage of testing, which was a performance examination (Microsoft Windows 7 Operating Systems) in Santa Monica, which again involved paying for parking. The Windows 7 test kind of sucked because there were some things on it that I just never used or had no reason to use so my score could have been higher if I had used the minutia parts of Windows 7 more.
I scored high enough that I ranked in a band that was eligible to be interviewed. After a couple of months passed, I figured that I wasn’t going to be interviewed or possibly an internal candidate received the position. Unfortunately I had no clue because they never sent me the customary, “sorry we didn’t pick you because someone else was more impressive than you” email.
Then after one year and 7 months I was contacted asking if I was interested in interviewing (third stage) for the position. I accepted and was scheduled to interview the following month at the Santa Monica Public Library (main branch). It was a two person panel composed of a librarian and a library assistant III. I basically got the vibe that I wouldn’t get the position like most government job interviews. One month later I was sent the generic, “sorry we picked someone else” email.
Basically they wasted a year and nine months of my money (gas, parking fees), time applying, testing, waiting, and interviewing for a position. The most annoying part was having to wait a month to hear back that I was rejected after interviewing. They already made me wait almost 2-years to get an interview and I still had to wait a month to receive a generic rejection notice.
The website doesn’t let me list past 365 days for the overall process of applying.
