Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela SaskEnergy (Regina, SK) em dez. de 2025
Entrevista
My interview experience for the Purchasing Agent role at Saskenergy revealed a recruiting process that was not only misleading but also reflective of an insular and outdated hiring culture.
After being engaged by both the hiring manager and a recruiter, I was ghosted for weeks, only to be notified that an internal candidate had been selected, an outcome that appears to have been predetermined. This lack of transparency and fairness is unacceptable for a public institution.
More concerning, however, is the apparent total disregard for international experience and qualifications including those from the US and the UK, evident throughout the process. This mindset reflects a hopelessly incompetent approach to talent acquisition, one that ignores global best practices and actively stifles diversity of thought and background.
There is clearly no culture of diversity or genuine external candidate consideration here. I strongly caution professionals with international backgrounds against wasting their time with an organization whose recruitment apparatus is this broken, dishonest, and closed-minded.

After receiving a "if you are selected email we will advise you of next steps" auto response, I received the email explaining the three parts if I were successful.
Part 1 - online test
Part 2 - online test
Part 3 - in person interview
Though, you could fail at any part and not proceed to the next pgase.
I completed both online tests that tested multi-tasking, typing, and appropriate ways to handle phone calls, data recollection and data recovery/discovery, I made it to phase 3 over the course of 4 weeks from application to interview. Then advised I'd hear from HR if they needed anything further by x date. I don't include references on my resume, and I've never heard from HR.
A lot of "testing" to not be selected.
Use STAR interview method and wants all answers to fit the method.

Explained that it was a guaranteed 3 days per week, except when there was a need for more, it was expected that employees work 5 days a week, but remain part time.
