O processo levou 3 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa School Nutrition Association (Arlington, VA).
Entrevista
Really nice people, their energy was great, and they didn't ask me questions that were too difficult. I felt like they were very transparent about the hiring process, but it still has taken a while.

This organization really seemed to be on top of things and really lured me in with their kindness and hospitality and being transparent about the process. I received lots of really helpful information about the position and department.
Literally within hours of submitting my application online, I heard back from them. Over the next several weeks, I went through all the steps of the interview process – phone interview, in-person interview with the hiring manager, second in-person interview with the hiring manager and other members of the department, and writing and editing test. I did well with all of them and was told I was qualified for the position. The only question was whether I would fit into the culture of the department and organization. Fair enough - that's their prerogative. And in every step, they were warm, kind and hospitable. The final time I visited their office, they told me they would be making a decision the following week – by the middle of the week, I was told. That period came and went and I received absolutely no word from them – not even a peep. No call, email or anything else to tell me that they had chosen another candidate for the position. It was so surprising and disappointing that they would drop me at the end as if they had never even met me when they had spent all of this time gathering personal information about me. It's as if these organizations are carrying out these interview processes for themselves only - as if the candidates/job-seekers want nothing or have nothing to gain from the process. Unfortunately, the School Nutrition Association joins the many other organizations and businesses that treat candidates rudely at the end and burn bridges with job seekers. They may appear warm and friendly and as a good, fulfilling place to work, but in the end, they show how they only consider themselves - how selfish they are.

Many standard questions. With another member of the department present, I was asked to share some of my pet peeves in the area of grammar. With the hiring manager, I was asked how a former supervisor would describe me (3 words), how a former coworker would describe me, and how a spouse/partner would describe me.

The interview process was fairly straight-forward. There was the phone interview, then 2 subsequent interviews with different staff on the team. It was fairly straightforward, but I did feel a pressure that they were looking to move quickly, which sometimes is good but often can be a bad sign.
