- Recruiter who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional.
- Was interrupted to be told the position I applied for may or may not be available.
- Was not told what positions might be available
- Was asked how far I'd be willing to commute to work (at this point I realized I the recruiter was continuing to interview me for positions I didn't apply for at sites I also didn't apply to work at).
- Clarified that I was, again, only looking to apply as a security control room operator and then was told that even if I was hired on as that I would still be expected to participate in unarmed patrols (not mentioned in job posting).
- Company is "looking for high quality professionals with advanced computer skills" to preform unarmed patrols for between $12/hr (minimum wage for Portland Metro Area) and $14/hr depending on experience/skills.
- Was not asked about my skills, experience, or qualifications.
- Was asked if I'd consent to a pre-screening drug test. Stated yes, but wanted to know more about the company's policy for cannabis. Was interrupted a few times to find out if I'd be able to pass the drug test (again, the answer is yes, no worries) but when I expressed concerns about employers intervening with their employee's private lives I was abruptly interrupted and rushed off the phone.
+ Seems like maybe an okay way to get your foot in the door for security.
+ Interview process was fast, less than a week from applying online to phone interview.
