After applying online, I was sent a more detailed questionnaire to fill out about my experience managing content and copy. I was then invited to interview with someone from HR. The interview took a while to schedule and was conducted with someone who spoke English as a second language, so communication was challenging at times. After that interview, I was sent an assignment to be completed within 3 business days. The assignment was to review an email, identify all the mistakes, and then list 2 of the most problematic and describe how I would fix them. I received the assignment on a Sunday and turned it in on Tuesday. Then I heard nothing for a full week, then got an email saying "This role has been closed, and we are no longer interviewing candidates. Today our team made an offer, and the candidate accepted it." It was very frustrating to have spent time working on a specialized assignment to not even get the courtesy of an interview with someone beyond HR. The communication was slow and not transparent and I didn't feel my time and expertise were respected.

The recruiter didn't seem to understand the role and was incredibly low on enthusiasm, which made it pretty difficult to navigate. I didn't feel I particularly had their attention or interest from the offset. Overall a jarring experience.
