I applied for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist opening at Semrush. I was interviewed by a Talent researcher who was not able to describe her position and her responsibilities in the company. In addition, she had poor English skills and she was not able to communicate more so, she was not able to understand the things I was saying. Despite my efforts to navigate these challenges, the overall experience of the interview was not satisfactory. The language barrier significantly impacted the quality of interaction and the opportunity to showcase my qualifications effectively. This is shameful for a Global company such as Semrush . As a suggestion for improvement, I recommend that Semrush considers providing language training or support to interviewers who may benefit from enhancing their English language skills.
