I interviewed with a recruiter, who confirmed my profile was a perfect fit and I will be hearing back from the team within 2 days. 2 weeks later I enquired about the progress, but received no reply. After chase up, the recruiter got back to me, asking me to complete a task. On submission, I once again didn't hear back, until they wrote to me saying my application was rejected, as the position was not yet fully defined. In short, Semrush wasted my time on a call with an outsourced service, then repeatedly on a task that could not test the desired skills, as the role was not even defined. I'd suggest Semrush don't start interviewing until they know who they're looking for, and do not work with junior external suppliers who do not know basic code of conduct when dealing with candidates.
