A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn offering an interview, which I agreed to. However, during the interview, it turned out that the fact I reside in Spain on a digital nomad permit was an insurmountable obstacle for the company because they didn’t want to wait 3 months for the Spanish migration service to change the permit type to employment. First, a company must be incredibly short-sighted to not invest 3 months in hiring a senior developer, especially when the recruiter said, "we are constantly searching for developers." Second, these details should be clarified before the interview to avoid wasting the candidate's time.
