I received a phone call asking me to come to a group interview at the Oakland office; there were about 6 other applicants there. Questions were asked to the group in general, and you had to take the initiative to contribute to the discussion and offer ideas. From there I was called to schedule a one to one interview with the director of the program I would potentially be working at. It was relatively informal; we met in his office and the interview style was very conversational. From there, my references were checked, which took the longest time by far. phone interview then non competitive group interview then individual interview. Individual interview seemed to be just if you are a good personality fit for the office and to really emphasize the heavy load and ask if you could handle it.
