Applied online for the Sephora in J. C. Penny I got a call to set a date for an interview which I missed but they left a voicemail. I couldn't get a hold of the manager who called so went in person which then she set up the time and date. It was a group interview of 3 candidates with the manager but only one of them showed up Got asked many non work questions and a series of serious work related questions, was very comfortable and the environment was outgoing/friendly. It did take awhile to get a call back from them since the interview was for available positions in the future and didn't get the job but got offered a position for working at jcpenny Experience of the interview was fun but disappointing

The interview process was pretty straight-forward and simple. I got a call a few days before my first in-person interview and the manager talked to me about my previous work experience, why I was interested in working for Sephora as opposed to another makeup retailer, such as Nordstrom, Macy's, etc. Asked me a couple of potential customer situation questions like what would I do in certain circumstances. Then I was asked to come in for a group interview a few days later. Whole process took about an hour, and was really good. Thorough questioning and we had the opportunity to ask some of our own questions as well. Overall, one of the longer interviews I've ever had but I think in this case that was a good thing.
