Interviewed on phone with two or three people. Then went for part 2 to the hospital and spent the whole day there meeting everyone including doctors and other staff. Everything seemed positive.
Everyone liked me. I was called back a couple of weeks later to spend another half day at the hospital. Meet everyone else on staff. Again , all feedback seemed positive. Went home thinking position was in the bag. Didn't hear from them again. Wrote numerous emails. Figured they didn't budget for position. They never wrote me a note, or called, or emailed saying anything after they wasted two and a half days. Finally saw another add for same position at hospital, reapplied. Nothing. A week later I called HR and asked what was going on to find out if I interviewed poorly, or what the problem was. She said she will get back to me. Finally a week later, a get a letter from department saying I had loads of experience but that they hired internally. So basically they had me hanging on for a month with limited or no feedback. Not the way to run a supposed professional organization.
