The initial process was great - went smoothly. Did a virtual interview and then went in person and met with a few people. They had me do a background check before any offer which I thought was odd. They offered me the job at the exact salary I requested. However when they disclosed the time off - it was surprisingly low. I was told I could not counter on time off so I did ask for some more money and had a bunch of questions about flexibility and recession planning. Oddly enough I was told on a Thursday evening that they couldn't go higher on the money - which okay I understand but wasn't provided any answers to my questions. I had to ask them again and the person acted like I was inconveniencing them. I told them I would get back to them the next day with the decision. The next afternoon I was speaking with them and was hung up on and then told the job was frozen and could no longer be offered to me. Seemed so bizarre that within less than 24 hours this was no longer an option.
