I first met with one guy and a girl who was co ordinating the programme. The interview went well and they were both very approachable and asked the usual questions. I was asked to submit a mock lesson and would hear within a week. Two weeks later I got an email telling me the person in charge of recruitment was away and it would be another three days. I then got a call from this lady telling me about the position.... Which was a totally different one then what I interviewed for! A few hours later I received a phone call from the manager who continued to conduct an over the phone interview without any notice or warning, very unprofessional. The whole process was very unprofessional and after being told I got the job I turned it down after doing some research deeper into the company all reviews were very negative and from the out it was a negative experience.

The interview process went quick, and was explained well ahead of the time. There was more or less sufficient time given. to prepare for the interview. Met with various stakeholders who had a role to play in the org.

The interview process was quite informal. The panel, I felt, were trying to sell the company to me to their best of their ability. To be fair, the office itself looks professional and modern. I got the impression that the company didn't really care much about the educational content they present to their clients, but rather the amount of paying customers they have in their courses. I understand it's a money-making enterprise. However I feel the company doesn't really care about the quality of education they are dishing out.
As somebody who values their higher education and cares greatly about learning, I got quite turned off at the idea of minimising down a 4year degree into 12 weeks for a few hours. No matter what faculty, no professional educator can deliver quality learning in that time - it's simply not possible.
If you have a dramatic, extrovert personality and are happy to entertain 10,000 onlooking learners in a commission-like environment, then you may love a role here as an educator. It just wasn't for me.
