A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn for a quick chat, we scheduled a zoom meeting within the week. The zoom meeting is voice only, which is not usual but that's fine. The interviewer was in a very noisy background, which was not ideal either. The interviewer proceeded to ask the usual interview questions on academic background and work experience. The whole thing felt like me giving a monologue with no inputs from her at all; she proceeded to ask the questions as if they are part of a given script without having any feedback on whatever I have shared with her. The only two things I heard from her are "okay, sure, got it" and the questions. Terrible experience. I think the recruiter is a senior recruiter and the whole experience does not inspire any confidence.
