After building a trial store, submitting my CV and cover letter - I received an email from a local team lead informing me that my application would be progressing. I was then sent a link to book my ‘Life Story’ interview. Life Story interview: It’s exactly what it says on the tin, but you should try and focus on your employment to date...the journey that’s brought you here to applying to Shopify. I received confirmation by email after this letting me know that I’d be proceeding to the next stage - ‘The Gauntlet’ I was once again sent a link to book my interview, and was requested to send on three professionals references. The Gauntlet: This is essentially a series of sample scenarios used to see if you inherently have what it takes to be a Shopify Guru. There is little preparation you can do for this, but be familiar with the resources provided for the interview. Scenario 1 & 2: Sample call from a merchant After receiving feedback from the first phone call, build on that feedback and try to improve for the second phone call. Scenario 3 & 4: Direct messaging through app on your trial store with a merchant (3), while simultaneously chatting with a team member in another chat (4). Scenario 5: Answer an email within 10mins After receiving feedback, answer email again within 7mins At a later date - once a reference(s) has been checked - I received a phone call confirming that I had been successful.

The first Interview was on phone interview. I did not pass through to next stage of the process, which was an online test. After that would be another formal interview.
