Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Shopify em jan. de 2022
Entrevista
Initial interview, followed by life story interview. I thought the pairing programming would be difficult. So spent some time reading the online review to understand what they look for. But the question was so simple. Even I spent quite a lot of time 'communicating' with the interviewer, I still completed it early. Then I asked a couple of times anything I missed or I could improve the solution before wrapping up the meeting. That was why I was so surprised to be turned down in this round. I won't be surprised if it happened in the first two rounds, as they were subjective. However, shouldn't the programing test be objective?
First round: Case study style SQL questions with python coding and short assessment like an IQ test
Final round: marketplace case study, coding based analysis, life story, and in depth project
Scheduling was very difficult and I had to spend a lot of time following up with the recruiter to move things along. They weren't able to tell me who my manager would be or provide any input on that person. In the end they simply never contacted me back after a final technical round. My impression is they didn't want to offer me a job but were unable to be direct about that-- it was such a bizarre process especially with an established organization.
