Applied through agency with CV and progressed straight to face to face interview. Consist of a General Interview, covering the work done at the company and a discussion about my skills and experience, and a Technical Interview. Each interview lasted approximately an hour and a half.

There were two virtual interview rounds done on MS Teams. The first interview: a long presentation about their CAD software, with a couple of geometry questions asked during it e.g. How would you generate a cube given methods to create lines and planes, how would you determine what the 'out' direction is for each face of a cube, how to determine whether the edge intersecting two planes is like L or Γ. The second half was more like a normal interview; a mix of competency questions related to software (describe a software project you worked on, the challenges, what's the dumbest mistake you made writing code, how do you allocate work in a group etc.) and some mathmatical questions (revise the basic geometry of vectors, grad, divergence, dot product etc.) e.g. How do you find the angle between a point and a line in R^3. The second interview: scheduled a week later. The first part I was guided through a piece of code and asked to write a summary of how the code worked. More presentations about what the work would involve. Finally I was asked to write a short program to find the root of a function with a binary search. Denied a week later, citing lack of experience.
