Strangest sales interview I've been on. Was introduced to a VP-level leader who lived and worked in the Northeast, but was covering a Central territory, odd start. The sales leader began interview with "hey, look, we're here to find a mutual fit, so I'll ask some questions, you ask some and we'll see how we feel at the end," better start. Proceeded to talk over me and interrupt throughout the entire interview. He'd ask questions, I'd begin to answer, he'd interrupt with something irrelevant. Once it was my turn to ask questions, I'd ask pretty basic questions about territory composition, how many reps on the team, so on. He'd let me finish my question and provide "feedback" on a better question I should have asked. Once that was over, the feeling was that there wasn't a mutual fit... clearly. In total, the interview was strange because the interviewer made it so. Came across as insecure coping with "know it all", overbearing, and micro-managing behaviors. He was very clear this was the culture in general, not just his own weird behavior. Also, important note: the company has a pretty strong "lingo." They use a lot of terms that are industry standard, but somehow mean something different at Sigma, terms like champion, pipeline generation, etc.
