The interview process was extremely unprofessional.
1. I was emailed by a recruiter asking for me to respond with a time I was free for a phone screen... I didn't hear back from the recruiter for almost two weeks after the request. I honestly forgot I had applied but figured, the least I could do was practice for companies that I would be interested in.
2. They segmented a 15 minute time block for the phone screen, only one person introduced themselves at the beginning of the call. 3 minutes into the call, I hear another voice asking me a question only to learn that there were more people on the call. That was a clear indicator on how this company operates and I was turned off at this moment.
3. The questions were very basic and they seemed to be rushing me through the call. I didn't feel like they genuinely were interested in knowing who I was nor the skills I could bring. I honestly don't even think they researched who I was. They didn't ask any follow-up questions or questioned my technical skills.
FEEDBACK: Ensure your recruiters follow-up to their requests in a timely fashion. I am sure if my boss asked me for a request, going cold for two weeks wouldn't look well at the company
Everyone should introduce themselves on the call. Common phone conference etiquette. And actually act like you are interested in the individual who is applying. Read their resume. Ask more thought provoking questions and relax.
