I applied online and got a quick response back. The interviews themselves were okay with few challenges to it.
The initial offer given included one-sided, unenforceable clauses aimed at specifically keeping expats at the job for at least 3 years (Dutch people don't see this clause). The values conveyed in the interview process is neither captured by the contract nor supplied material. No interest shown in improving this. The person set to answer my follow up questions was quite obviously unprepared since they needed to search for my email during the meeting and also didn't seem to have any reply prepared. The process also demonstrated obvious lack of communication between multiple coworkers. The person sending me their offer admitted they hadn't read the content of it, nor really spoken with the person writing the offer.
Overall, I was left with a bad impression. This is not helped by the company's name (Sioux is a French exonym for the native American group of tribes called Oceti Sakowin) and (mis)use of various native American terms. It has a strong sense of cultural appropriation to it, and I'm left wondering what the true values of this company's leadership is.
