They are very ridged about their training style. The phone interview with the HR rep was fantastic. Once they get you in for the in person part of the interview, that's where it gets weird. I wanted to show a resume at least, and the manager refused to see it, stating they "get a lot of trainers" who come in and show them what they've done and they aren't interested in that, all they care about Is their training styles so everyone can be on the same page. Now I understand the logic behind this, but it made the interview very one sided, because they basically wanted you to not talk much the whole time so they could explain what they do. If you chimed in or said anything that didn't have to do with what they teach, or if they thought what you said was 'wrong", which for me was all in her face, you immediately felt like you didn't get the job. On top of that, she literally turned her back to me after when I reached out to shake her hand, and was like "I have 15 other interviews". When I called to see if even got the job, there was no direct line to the facility (which is not uncommon with dog training companies) just to the coorporate building, they said they would reach out to her to get back to me, which Never happened. I even tried to reach out to the HR rep with no response. I am very disappointed in how I was treated, and it seems like this is the norm for a lot training companies these days who want to be a franchise, or go corporate. All numbers, no compassion.

There was an initial phone screening with general questions (I.e. why do you want to work here). After that, we scheduled an in person interview with the owners present. I was asked about previous experience. I was offered a job within the next week.
