I was greeted by the front desk who proceeded to give me a 5 page application to fill out. (Which was weird considering they had my resume and I had already done a phone interview) But I figured it was for their records so I decided to just fill it out. They stuck me in a room and made me wait for 30 minutes with no word from anyone. When the owner and who I assume was the manager FINALLY graced me with their presence, I immediately could tell the vibes were off. The owner took the application and proceeded to read through it (still not saying anything to me) for probably 5 minutes while I sat in awkward silence. She finally asked me what a day looks like in my current position, so I explained. She then proceeded to tell me in an extremely condescending tone, “It sounds like you’re really good at admin tasks. But we’re looking for someone who can lead a team, and we don’t want to waste your time.” And abruptly ended the interview. If she took two seconds to do her research or simply LOOK at my resume, she would know I do far more than “admin tasks” at my current position. Actually, I do everything they listed in their job description + more. I felt extremely disrespected that this business owner didn’t even have the decency to conduct an actual interview, telling me they “didn’t want to waste my time” after they had ALREADY wasted over 30 minutes of it. I genuinely felt discriminated against due to my age. I think this owner walked in and saw I was younger and immediately assumed I couldn’t do the job. 0/10 recommend applying to this place if you value a respectful and uplifting workplace.

The interviewer was almost 30 minutes late. I was waiting in their relaxation room, and overheard clients talking about how filthy the locker room was. When the interviewer finally came to get me, she was completely frazzled and seemed unprepared. She didn't even know my name and it was clear that she hadn't looked over my resume or qualifications yet. Very unimpressed with how unprofessional she was.
