Fiz uma entrevista na empresa SmartBear (Somerville, MA).
Entrevista
I had a Screening call with someone in HR, then a call with an SDR Manager, and then a Call with VP of Sales Enablement. Offer was sent out a few weeks after the final call.

Entrevista
Recruiter, sales manager, business development manager, account executive. Seems pretty run of the mill interview process. Nothing crazy, just know your stuff. Try to close hard. About 2-3 weeks long.

What’s something that you would be confident doing starting on day one?

Entrevista
The interview process was fairly straightforward, though I encountered some challenges during my conversation with one of the interviewers. When it came time for me to ask questions, one interviewer was uncooperative and repeatedly redirected my questions back to me without providing clear answers. This came across as defensive and raised concerns about the team’s transparency and their ability to provide meaningful responses.
For sales professionals who are driven, assertive, and eager to learn and grow, this role may not be the best fit. The environment felt more suited to individuals who are comfortable with a high degree of oversight and may prefer to follow a more rigid structure. The company’s approach appeared to reward caution rather than initiative or risk-taking.
Additionally, there was a significant gap between the compensation they offered and my other offers. I was presented with a base salary that was $100,000 lower than comparable roles I’ve been offered elsewhere. I went ahead with an in-person interview out of curiosity, but I found the process somewhat inefficient. One of the decision-makers took up most of the allotted time, leaving me with very limited time to engage with their superior. This constrained the opportunity to ask all of my prepared questions, and some of my inquiries were deflected in a way that felt evasive.
Overall, the experience made me question whether the company's culture aligns with the values and skills of a high-performing, self-motivated salesperson.
