Went through first round call with recruiter that went well. 2 days later received an email asking to speak again to clarify questions. We mainly talked about the scenario of if I was not promoted or provided opportunity for growth would I be happy with the job still. This conversation stemmed from me mentioning on my first call I was ready to join a young company, work hard, and move into a leadership role eventually. Since the recruiter was pretty hung up on this I imagine they are not really interested in ambitious people that would potentially leave the company if there was no career advancement. My advice is pass on applying if you have ambitions of moving up or do not mention them during interview process if you want the job.
