I was an internal employee referral. I have over 20 years sales experience. I passed the initial phone screen. The odd thing about it was she said that she was concerned how I would handle a transition to a sales role. I have been in sales over 20 years. Bizarre.
After that, they set me up with another phone screening. This time the person thought I was a Solutions Engineer. No matter how I explained it, he also thought I didn't have the background for the position which I clearly do.
I know they are hiring hundreds of people in short order and I think they have interview fatigue. The whole time that I was on the phone with both of those people I felt like they were not listening and definitely not engaged from the get go.
In fact, when my second call took place, the manager that called me was a little late and started the call by asking me what the call was in regard to. I have never experienced anything like that in my entire life. Crazy how they handle a referral from an internal employee.
