Received a request for me to begin the interview process through HireVue. HireVue is a video recording SAAS. While I can appreciate the company looking to streamline the hiring process doing it through a recording solution is tacky. Not only is it impersonal but the recording will never represent who the interviewee truly is or there true skills and abilities. Considering Smashfly is selling a solution to companies that is suppose to streamline the candidate pool, you would think they would have a better process in place. Also, I am a firm believer that everyone in the interview process should be held to the same standards expected by the company. In which case, providing no response after a candidate took time out of their busy schedule to complete the impersonal interview; is just plan rude. My suggestion to the next talented candidate is to find the next up and coming tech company and interview with them. Because this company just turns and burns candidates.
