The Smashburger interview process was lengthy. I give them credit that they cover all of their bases, including a psychological online test and interview with an executive psychologists. This was for a mid level position mind you. They took weeks and months between steps, but when they wanted something, it was always urgent and I had to put everything aside for them. Interestingly, when I met with the team I found they were overwhelmingly unhappy with their jobs - the hours, the micromanaging, the lack of authority, and no raises were the issues that came up that I remember. I had never had employees directly tell me the downsides in an interview before. I believe they were about to make me an offer but based on the interview process and unhappy employees I accepted a position elsewhere and withdrew my candidacy.
