I recently had the unfortunate experience of interviewing with Snap, and I must say it was one of the most frustrating and disorganized hiring processes I've ever encountered. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. 1. Rescheduled interviews: Several of my interviews were rescheduled, one of which was an hour before. This left me scrambling to rearrange my schedule and caused unnecessary stress. It was evident that the company did not respect the time and effort I had invested in preparing for the interviews. 2. Lack of Transparency: Throughout the process, Snap failed to provide clear feedback or updates on the status of my application. The lack of transparency left me feeling neglected and undervalued as a candidate. 3. Lack of Professionalism: During one interview with a senior manager at the company the individual smoked a vape pen multiple times during the interview without discussing it. Personally I don’t care what you do in your free time, but this was a 30 min interview and it was evident that the individual was not fully engaged. In the end, after two months of following up with the recruiting team and a total of 3 months of back and forth, I was finally informed of my rejection. While I understand that not every candidate can be chosen, I expected a more respectful and timely response, considering the time and effort I invested in the process. My experience with Snap has left me with a negative impression of their hiring practices, which I believe are in dire need of improvement. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the company to reevaluate its approach to candidate engagement and communication.
