Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela SnapWeb Services (Houston, TX) em fev. de 2021
Entrevista
This was by far the easiest interview I've ever had. The process took 2 days. I only had 1 twenty-minute interview.
I applied online through LinkedIn. Within the next day I received a call asking to schedule a brief 20 minute interview. The interviewer was late and had to reschedule for a later time. Once the interview was actually conducted, he told me about the company, asked me 2 questions, and gave me a chance to ask only 2 questions. The next morning, I received an offer letter.
I've noticed a few red flags in this interview process that made me question taking the job entirely.
1) During the interview he asked when I could start. I answered "immediately", as soon as he heard my answer, he let me know he was going to move me on the next interview, but the next day I received an offer letter. Don’t get me wrong I was thrilled at first, but realized that they really didn’t take the chance to really discuss my skill set, nor did they meet me in person.
2) The offer was full of incorrect dates, grammatical errors, and punctuation errors. The letter was very sloppy. Who ever wrote the letter or whatever template was used, the person didn’t do their due diligence in ensuring quality or accuracy in the offer letter. For example, not even the date of when the letter was sent was correct. The only date that was correct on the letter was the start date.
3) I question whether or not they actually care about what skills a candidate is bringing to the table, as it seemed like they really just wanted to fill the position with the first person who was available.
4) Since I was offered only a brief 20 minute interview before receiving an offer, I asked additiobal questions through email, to get a better idea of the position and company. I asked for 2 days to think over the offer and the next day the company rescinded it.
5) The office location is located in one of Houston's most dangerous areas. Just keep this in mind.
Overall, when I did my research on the company prior to interviewing with them, I was excited to speak to them and had high expectations. Coming out of the process, I would say I was wary about taking the position, because there were so many red flags. I only asked to have a day to think about it, they agreed I had 2 days to respond, then the next day they took their offer back.

Casual, friendly environment. Interview conducted by the head of the company which I thought was a good interviewing strategy and showed that the leadership cared about who was coming in the door - always a good sign. My negative rating is due to the lack of professionalism. I had to ask the names of those I met rather than them introducing their names which threw me off. At the end of the interview, I was told to expect a call for a second interview. It is fine that I didn't get a second interview - but I thought it was unprofessional to say especially when a second interview was not requested.

Tell me about yourself which led to genuine conversation. I believe this is the best form of interviewing and made me feel most comfortable and allowed me to be genuine.
