Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 meses. Fui entrevistado pela Snowflake em out. de 2024
Entrevista
After going through multiple rounds of interviews with Snowflake, I was left deeply disappointed by their decision-making process. While the company positions itself as a leader in the tech space, the recruitment process revealed a lack of fairness, transparency, and objectivity.
I invested significant time and effort to prepare for the interviews, including delivering well-researched presentations and receiving positive feedback from key panelists. Despite this, the final decision seemed influenced more by internal politics than merit or skills.
The leadership dynamic within the sales team also raises concerns. It’s surprising to see individuals with less relevant experience in Director level, from an arts background, holding leadership positions over highly skilled and technically proficient candidates. This suggests favoritism rather than a meritocratic culture.
For a company striving to attract top talent, this approach sends the wrong message to candidates who expect a fair evaluation based on performance and potential. I would advise Snowflake to reassess its hiring practices and ensure decisions are made objectively, free from bias or internal politics.
Advice to Management:
1. Improve transparency in the hiring process and provide constructive feedback to candidates.
2. Foster a meritocratic culture where decisions are based on performance and potential, not favoritism.
3. Reevaluate leadership roles to ensure they align with the company’s goals of excellence and innovation.

Final Round interview was a mock cold call. The interviewer picked a prospect from linkedin to portray. He demonstrated a classic stone wall objection - "Why should I tell you that?" And "I'm not sharing that" during discovery questions. Interesting choice to run a mock cold call during an interview like that. As a professional with almost a decade of experience it was easy to overcome, but I would not move forward with this company. They do not set apllicants up for success and I fear that entry level applicants will easily fail this part.
First few interviews over zoom were conversational, insightful, and well run. The last in person interview was less well run - presentation + mock call in front of three people. Some snarky, condescending comments from one individual but the rest ran the interview okay. More time should have been given to prepare the turn around was quick.
