In the time since this review was posted, we've changed a lot: we have doubled in size, moved to a new location, and we have a role dedicated to HR. We've been using HiringThing for more than one job posting (we've got about 20 under our belt now), and I think the communication with candidates through that platform has improved. One thing that has not changed, however, is that we do continue to ensure we're hiring people that reflect our core values, and will enhance and help maintain our positive company culture.
I have to disagree with the reviewer on their view of our focus: we don't prefer personality over qualifications. Candidates don't make it to in-person interviews without being qualified. When you're meeting with someone in-person, it's a chance to get to know how they work, what motivates them, what they get excited about, and understand how that all fits in with their previous experience and education. When you work with someone, you're not just getting a list of skills, you're getting a whole person that brings their attitudes, ideas, and values with them.
