I applied online at Solarcity's website. Less than one week later I recieved a call from a recruiter and did a quick phone interview and arranged for a group interview the following week. The group interview was casual and enjoyable. There were 11 interviewees and 4 interviewers. The group was divided in two with two interviewers each. The interview lasted for about two hours total; one hour as a group, 30 minutes with two of the interviewers, then 30 minutes with the other two interviewers. There was a written spacial reasoning test that they had us do while they asked each person a series of questions. The test was difficult, but it didn't matter. The goal was to see if you could answer questions and concentrate simultaneously.

I applied originally for a position as Energy Analyst but the recruiter said I was probably overqualified. I asked about a position as a designer and got in contact with a second recruiter and had a group interview the next day in the late evening. The next morning I received a call with a job offer.
