To say this interview process was bizarre would be an understatement. I applied for the position and was quickly scheduled for an interview with one of the VPs. She was kind but made it clear that the position I applied for was basically on hold. Personally, I would have appreciated an email to determine if I wanted to proceed BEFORE the meeting. However, she said she thought I would be a great fit for some other things in the works, so I was okay with staying in the game. The second interview was with another exec. The ATS they use generates generic scheduling emails, so I thought perhaps the position was worked out when I got another request. Turns out, this was just a meeting to keep me warm. The problem there is that the questions were full on interview questions with no actual role available. To top it off, the exec. scheduled me for 30 minutes to ask me extensive questions and left me 2 minutes at the end to ask mine. Again, it would have been nice to align via email prior to the meeting. He had a hard stop at the 30 minute mark (which he didn't share until we reached it), and he abruptly ended the call. He never even introduced himself, so I still to this day do not know how to pronounce his name and only know his title because I checked out his LinkedIn prior to. I've never seen anything like it. I knew right there that I was no longer willing to engage in the process. This company has so much potential - I was bummed that I lost interest so fast due to something that should have been so simple to get right.
