terrible, complete joke, super unprofessional.
If you enjoy being ghosted mid interview go right ahead and apply at sourcegraph. I've been a technical support specialist at a small tech company the last 6 years. This will be sort of long but I have no other option as I haven't heard from anyone at this company in over a month. On 9/27/24 sourcegraph reached out to me to schedule a call/phone screen for their open support engineer role I had applied for. We scheduled it for Monday 9/30/24 and we spoke for about 20-30min. the female recruiter with blonde hair annd blue eyes informed me that the next steps would be speaking with the hiring manager. Unfortunately he was out of office the following day (tues) so she said I'd likely hear back on (weds) 10/2. So then I had to email K 10/3 but got no reply. Come Monday 10/7 I decided to find K on linkedin and messaged her at 1:15pm asking if she received my email on thursday and if there were any updates on the next interview. At 1:19pm she responded with the following: "Thanks for touching base! Our hiring manager is out of the office all of last week & this week, so I'm waiting to sync with his team lead! I will be in touch early this week. Thank you for your patience!" On Tuesday 10/17 I was laid off from my position I've been at for 6 years. So now currently unemployed it is 10/18 (friday) so I decided to message K again on linkedin. I got no reply. On 10/25 I emailed her and still no reply. As I am writing this it is 11/4 and I still have not heard from K regarding the status of my application or interview. Of course I don't feel entitled to this position but I do deserve some professionalism from a company that I took my time to apply to. If you've looked at their company site you'll see how thorough their interview process is. This whole thing has been VERY unprofessional.
